Cleaning & Emergency Restoration Company Achieves Lead-Safe Certification

For Immediate Release

SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN – Anderson Bros. Steamatic is a cleaning and emergency restoration company which provides services to commercial, industrial and residential clients throughout Southwest Michigan. This company recently achieved certification as a Lead-Safe Certified Firm by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), #NAT-125869-1.

Under the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP), Michigan contractors working in homes built before 1978 must meet this certification requirement. According to the RRP Rule, which is part of the federal Toxic Substances Control Act, it intends to do the following:

  • Ensure that owners and occupants of these facilities receive information on lead-based paint hazards before renovations begin
  • Make sure that individuals performing such renovations are properly trained and certified
  • Ensure that renovators and workers follow specific lead-safe work practices to reduce the potential for exposure to lead

To become certified, a person must complete a training course accredited by the EPA or an EPA-authorized program. Anderson Bros. Steamatic now currently has 11 technicians who achieved this certification.

Anderson Bros. Steamatic has been providing cleaning and restoration services for both homeowners and businesses alike for more than 45 years. In addition, Anderson Bros. Steamatic is an IICRC-certified, 24-hour emergency full-service solution for dirt or disaster needs. From carpet, upholstery and air duct cleaning to fire, smoke, water and mold damage restoration and more, we can do it all.
